This is an opportunity to join our Nursing staffing bank, where you will enjoy the flexibility to choose which shifts you wish to work.
Abbeyfield is a charity for elderly people, providing housing to more than 7,000 residents across the UK and internationally. It is our mission to enhance our residents’ quality of life through high quality accommodation in a stimulating environment, maintaining a socially active life.
We’re committed to providing the highest standards of care to our residents, and we believe that great care starts with great people. The interests of our valued staff and residents sit at the heart of what we do.
Abbeyfield is more than a home; it’s a neighbourhood, a community, a family. Are you ready to be a part of it?
Working alongside a dedicated team of nursing professionals, you will be at the forefront of clinical care provision; contributing to the promotion of high quality care, meeting CQC requirements, ensuring residents are treated with respect and dignity, and lead fulfilling lives.
You'll use your clinical knowledge and expertise to develop and deliver tailored care plans for each of our valued elderly residents. You will pride yourself in taking personal responsibility for observing and assessing, and administering appropriate treatments and medications.
For more details about this varied role, please see attached role profile.
The Ideal Candidate
As a professionally qualified nurse, you'll have a relevant degree or diploma, registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC), with a current Personal Unique Identification Number (PIN). You will also need knowledge of CQC regulations.
Ideally you'll also have experience working in elderly care, but at the very least, you will have a deep understanding of the clinical and psychological needs of older people.
So if you share our passion for providing top quality clinical care in a great working environment, we would love to hear from you.
In line with your casual (bank) worker assignment agreement, we offer competitive pay that is in line with those of our employed staff in similar roles. And depending on how many hours you work, you will accrue leave at an equivalent rate of 31 days paid leave in a full calendar year, inclusive of bank/public holidays. (pro rata)
To carry out this role, you will be provided with mandatory training to get you started, as part of a comprehensive induction. And to work for us in future assignments, you will be expected to keep your mandatory training up to date.
