Kitchen Assistant - Weekends

The home

Situated close to The Royal Botanic Gardens, Victoria House is a beautiful large Victorian house set within three walled courtyard gardens. The house was extensively modernised and refurbished, with a lift and stair lifts allowing residents easy access throughout the house.

There are 29 rooms, some of which have ensuite facilities. Room are furnished but we encourage you to bring personal items to create your own home from home.

Victoria House is a happy, homely and caring atmosphere where excellent relationships have been built between our residents, their families and our dedicated staff. 

The Role - Kitchen Assistant

As one of our valued kitchen assistants, you will be an important part in providing healthy and nutritious daily meals to our residents, you’ll assist with meal preparation and help us keep our kitchen clean and tidy.

Key responsibilities

  • To prepare and serve breakfast, Lunch and dinner under the guidance of the cook/Chef
  • Collecting and washing of dishes and cutlery 
  • To ensure the kitchen is maintained at a high level of cleanliness at all times
  • To maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and cleanliness of dress
  • To ensure food products are stored and dated correctly
  • Deep clean of the kitchen.
  • Good communication skills
  • To work well within a team
  • Ability to work quickly but efficiently
