Housekeeping Manager - Hill House
What Abbeyfield Offer You
Abbeyfield is more than a home; it’s a neighbourhood, a community, a family. Our core behaviours are to be welcoming to everyone, celebrate the positives, work collaboratively, take responsibility, and be adaptable to changing circumstances.
Best of all, we’re a charity, meaning that the interests of our valued staff and residents sit at the heart of what we do, not shareholders.

Your remit is to oversee our housekeeping team, looking after all public areas and to provide the highest level of care and service to all residents, internal employees in line with the agreed service level and procedures.
You will manage, motivate and develop individuals within the team to enable them to meet current and future team and Resident needs, and ensure adequate cover at all positions at all times to ensure the provision of a consistent service. You will also provide day to day direction and support to the Housekeeping team, ensuring that all training and competency records for each team member are completed.
Naturally you'll need a minimum of one year’s previous experience working as Housekeeper in a supervisory capacity, with strong focus on customer service, preferably within the hospitality industry.
With a proven track record of successfully leading a team, you will take pride in doing a great job, and be able to instil that pride into every member of your team. But you'll also need to be strong administratively, with attention to detail, and experience of using computers to manage and record and report information.
But above all, by applying your skills and knowledge, and team leadership skills, you will want to make a real difference to the lives of our valued elderly residents.
And because we take the wellbeing of our residents and staff very seriously, ideally you'll also be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
