At Abbeyfield, we believe that great care starts with great people. We’re committed to providing the highest standards of accommodation and service to our residents and we’re always keen to hear from people who share our commitment to enhancing the lives of older people in the UK.
Your remit is to oversee and Manage all aspects of the house, looking after all areas from H&S requirements to meal provision, providing the highest level of service to all residents and employees in line with the Quality Standard. This is a 'hands-on' Manager position. You will manage, motivate and develop individuals within the team to enable them to meet current and future Resident needs, and ensure adequate cover at all times to ensure the provision of consistent service. You will also provide day-to-day direction and support to the House team, ensuring that all training and competency records for each team member are completed.
Naturally, you'll need a minimum of one year's previous experience working in a supervisory capacity, with a strong focus on customer service, preferably within a similar environment. With a proven track record of successfully leading a team, you will take pride in doing a great job, and be able to instill that pride into every member of your team. But you'll also need to be strong administratively, with attention to detail, and experience in using computers to manage and record and report information. But above all, by applying your skills and knowledge, and team leadership skills, you will want to make a real difference in the lives of our valued elderly residents. Our core behaviors are to be welcoming to everyone, celebrate the positives, work collaboratively, take responsibility, and be adaptable to changing circumstances.
