Everyone supports each other and works well together to help enrich our residents’ lives. We ensure that we hold regular meetings with staff, residents, families and volunteers as well as enabling our team to feel empowered to carry out their role by ensuring that they are fully trained and supported.
We have three separate enclosed courtyard garden spaces which allow Residents to take time out and enjoy quite times in a safe space that has been designed with comfortable seating areas and is wheelchair accessible.
Residents are encouraged to help keep the gardens blooming and to tend the raised vegetable beds allowing our chef to pick some produce for the weekly meals. Meals at Victoria House are very social affairs with a choice of three Dinning Rooms to choose from. Our qualified in house chef caters for all dietary, cultural and enriched needs.
Everyone is treated with kindness and respect, we take time through our daily interaction to get to know our residents - Residents are very involved in planning activities and our dedicated activities co-ordinator helps to ensure that Residents are engaged and stimulated throughout their stay with us whilst ensuring that we promote individual hobbies and interests.
We are privileged to have an active volunteers group made up of people who live locally. This group has a very long standing association with Victoria House with Volunteers tirelessly participating in activities and arranging events and trips for our Residents.
