About the Company

Situated in a quiet residential area of the historic city of Cambridge, all within reach of shops, community centre, post office and pubs, Browns Field House is our purpose built dementia-friendly care home.  Our home can accommodate up to 28 residents, some of which are suitable for couples.  Four of our rooms come with en-suite facilities and you will find walk-in showers or assisted baths on every corridor. There are ample communal areas around the house where our residents can chat with a member of staff or a loved one.   A large sensory garden is also available for our residents to walk round or to tend to plants, vegetables or flowers for any keen gardener!

A dedicated activities co-ordinator plans a wide variety of weekly activities to ensure that there is always something to do from pub lunches to karaoke. Residents have the choice of dining in their room if they do not wish to go to the dining room to enjoy our delicious home cooked meals.

We encourage our team to have the time to build friendships with our residents, understand their needs and make every day more fulfilling for them.  All of our committed team are trained to the highest standard and provide personalised care plans for each of our residents. As a smaller house, we are very homely and our team work hard to ensure that we offer a warm, friendly and supportive atmosphere.  We invest in training and personal development of our team and firmly believe that if people are fulfilled in their roles, they perform their roles to a higher standard.

There are plenty of challenges in our roles, but through initiative and by building close relationships with our residents, every role is rewarding and crucial to our overall goal to enrich our residents’ lives.  If you would like greater job satisfaction knowing that you are helping people lead more meaningful lives, then you are the type of person we are looking for to join our team.
